Draft 4

Dear Andy,

How are you? Is it great studying in United Kingdom? I hope you'll be fine. I'm here to tell you about the riot in Little India in Singapore. At the eighth of December, It started from a bus running over a Indian national man, he was thirty-three and named Sakthival. It was occurred at the junction of  Race Course Road and Tekka Lane. There was a commotion about the accident that happened.

Then, the police was informed about the serious road accident and the Civil Defence Force was alerted two minutes later. An ambulance also arrived at the scene. Next, a police and a fire engine arrives while there was a crowd of a hundred congregated. The police reinforcements came and at the same time, the crowd swelled up to approximately four hundred persons. The body of the worker under the bus was extricated. The angry mob started pelting the emergency officers with concrete blocks and beer bottles.

The group of Special Operations Command officer immediately arrived to form up and disperse the crowd. The police took control of the scene while High Visibility patrols were deployed to avoid the rioters from regrouping. The police were as busy as a bee. They found thirty-six suspects and arrested them. At the ninth of December, the Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong orders the Committee of Inquiry into cause of unrest. The second Home Affairs Minister Iswaran also announces the temporary ban of alcohol sales in Little India.

The tenth day of December, eight more suspects were arested for alleged involvement in the riot. Twenty-four Indian workers, aged between twenty-two and fourty are charged in court. The last day, the eleventh of December, the police said that three more workers will be charged in court.I saw and read some foreign news and the said that it was the cause of alcoholic consumption, some say they were angry because of the police. I must say that sometimes, foreign news are exaggerating or assuming that these things happened. The mob was furious because of the bus driver that ran over the Indian man.

I feel that this riot can be avoided and not get into trouble. If they can just leave the accident in the police's hands, this would not have happened. The police would not be troubled to find the suspects. I hope you think this is interesting, I look forward to your visit to Singapore next month. you an ask me any questions about the riot when you reach Singapore.

Yours Truly,
Damien

Why do people celebrate CNY

A long time ago, a story was told from generation to generation, mostly kids, every night of Chinese New Year, a monster that looked like a lion called Nian appeared somewhere in China. It was told that if the children did not sleep, Nian will come to eat them. Some people said it was just to help children sleep. One day, Nian appeared and the people saw him, all were afraid of it and stayed at home. An old man came to one of the houses and requested for something to eat. The woman in the house gave food to the old man to eat. The old man was thankful for the woman's generosity and repay for her kindness by showing the woman how to scare away Nian. The old man put firecrackers and red papers on the door and lit the firecrackers  and it produced loud sounds and lights. When everybody heard the noise, they saw Nian running away frightened. The people thanked the old man and they put on red papers and firecrackers to scare away Nian every year. Some people believed, some don't, what do you think?

Movie Review

Movie:Frozen
It all started with a couple in the royal family giving birth to two daughters in a place called Erandale, one born with a special power to freeze named Elsa and one was completely ordinary named Anna. One day, Elsa was playing with Anna using her power but accidentally froze Anna's head and fainted, that's where she got a white strip on her hair. Her parents brought them to the place where goblins live to ask their chief  of the goblins  to help save Anna. The chief said to save Anna, she must not remember what had happened and Elsa's power. When they grew up, their parents where going to a trip but they died in the cause of the heavy current that sank the ship that they were on. Elsa accidentally revealed her powers to everyone on Coronation day. The guards saw her powers and thought she was a monster.  She found a place at the North mountains to build her own ice castle and live there. She didn't know that she put an eternal winter on Erandale and it froze completely. Anna went to find Elsa in the North mountains, halfway there, she met a man who sold ice and asked him to bring him to the North mountains. When she found Elsa in the ice castle, she asked Anna to leave because she did not want what had happened when they were little but instead, she froze Anna's heart. Anna asked to her boyfriend that she met a Coronation day to help her but he refuses so that he could become to prince of Erandale. Anna did not give up and find Elsa through the blizzard that Elsa had made. Anna asked Elsa to stop the winter, but she couldn't, she tried very hard and controlled her powers to stop winter.
